Facilities available on-site include kiosk for refreshments, drinks and snacks. (Run by volunteers so opening times vary)

2011 Skateboard Coaching Jam

 YES THIS SEASONS SKATEBOARD COACHING JAM WILL TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER 2011.

The Jam is an opportunity for all of the 2011 skate coaching participants to come and along and 'showcase' their newly learned skills!

Intensive Intermediate Skateboard Workshop – May Half Term

CFA Skateboarding Lessons

Due to the popularity of the 2011 Junior Skateboard Coaching Programme, Crawley Borough Council in partnership with the Crawley Freestyle Association are bringing you an intensive intermediate workshop during May half-term 2011.

The course will run on Tuesday 31st May, Wednesday 1st, Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd June. Sessions will start promptly at 9.30am and finish at 10:45 am. Spaces are very limited and pre-booking is essential.


The course will cost £16 for CFA members and £20 for non-members.


The course is suitable for skaters 8 years + and for those that are competent Skatepark riders and who want to develop their skills including kickturns, ollies and bowl riding.

Crawley Easter Jam 2011

 

 The Easter Jam will take place this Sunday 10th April @ Crawley Skatepark, Midday - 5pm.

There will Best Trick Jams for both BMX and Skate, with Easer themed chocolate prizes plus some extra special bits from DC and Death Skateboards.

This is the official CFA 2011 Season kick off event! Coaching begins the weekend after and summer is upon us. See you Sunday.

New Stock Round 2!!

We have just had another delivery for the container which includes a sick Gou Miyagi Heroin board, some Heroin Nerds wheels, Death Wheels and also some new Indys 139's.

Power Distribution were also kind enough to donate a board to our Prize fund....if you pull a rad stunt at the Easter Jam, who know's, this limited edition Death/Monster collab could be yours!

There is now another source of information for everything 'Extreme' in Crawley! It won't be replacing CFA site, the news will be most likely feature on both of these websites if it's skatepark related!! It will however contain some content to do with Mountain Biking, the new BMX Track and also Parkour activites.

There will also be pictures, footage and hopefully competitions coming soon! Check it out.

CFA AGM 18th April

The CFA’s AGM will be taking place on Monday 18th  April 2011, 6pm upstairs in meeting room 3 at K2 Leisure Centre.

An AGM is a very important meeting that has to take place once a year. This is open to all members of the Association to attend, and gives everyone an opportunity to find out what the Association has achieved in the last year, what it is hoping to achieve over the next year and how much money it has received and spent.

*Junior Skateboard Coaching Courses 2011*

Continuing on from the success of the 2010 Junior Skateboard Coaching Programme, Crawley Borough Council in partnership with the Crawley Freestyle Association introduces course information for the 2011 season.

This year sees a bit of a switch up and sessions will run in blocks of 5. Pre-booking is essential.

This year groups are split into ability levels and therefore the beginners group will be for those new to skateboarding and those that want an introduction to skatepark riding. The intermediate courses are for those that are more competent and that want to develop their skills including kickturns, ollies and bowl riding.

NEW BOARDS!

We are getting ready for Spring early this year! The CFA has just had a delivery of fresh boards and trucks for the Container.

We have a couple of Heroin Boards and a Death deck in a variety of sizes and 2 pairs of Indy 139's.

A couple of these boards are special and will go to very deserved homes in the next few days...check back to see who!
