is run and managed by the
Crawley Freestyle Association
and its members in partnership with
Crawley Borough Council

Facilities available on-site include kiosk for refreshments, drinks and snacks. (Run by volunteers so opening times vary)

  • The park is fully floodlit until 10:00 PM every night.
  • CCTV monitored by Sussex Police

Young Leaders

Are you a Crawley Skatepark local between the ages of 12 -16?

Would you like to get experience in Skate and BMX coaching by supporting as a Young Leader?

The Crawley Freestyle Association would like to help develop Young Leaders with a passion for skateboarding and BMXing and helping others do those activities.

We would like to run a course during July and August, so if you are interested please contact Lucy Adams, Active Crawley Officer (Extreme Sports) at Lucy.Adams@crawley.gov.ukor 01293 585350 for more information.

The Crawley Freestyle Association coaches and volunteers are looking to shred all of Crawley’s wheeled sports facilities this summer!

You can catch the tour and experience some expert coaching as well as giveaways and mini competitions at the following venues (please note Skatepark venue is on Thursday 12th August not 13th as it says on poster!):

Mountain Boarding Trip!

The Crawley Freestyle Association in partnership with Crawley Borough Council organised its third trip away and this time travelled over to Ride The Hill Mountain Boarding Centre. The trip took place on Wednesday June 2nd and 24 daring skate and BMX enthusiasts attended.

Beginners Skateboard Workshop

Want to learn to skate with the Crawley Freestyle Association (CFA) team?

Well the CFA in partnership with Crawley Borough Council will be running a skateboard workshop for beginners at the Southgate Skatepark during Half Term.

CFA/CBC Mountain Boarding Trip

Crawley Freestyle Association (CFA) in partnership with Crawley Borough Council would like to provide you with an opportunity to attend a trip to Ride the Hill, Nutley, Redhill on Wednesday 2nd June, 2010. The trip is open to participants aged 8 years and over.

The coach will leave K2 Leisure Centre at 09:30on Wednesday 2nd June and arrive back to K2 at approximately 16:00. You need to wear active clothing and need to bring a packed lunch and a drink.

CFA Etnies Web Comp Winners!

 Here are CFA Etnies Web Comp winners Christian and Matt! The comp was to guess the total distance in metres of the Bowl at Crawley Skatepark. Christian had the closest guess at 62 metres and 11 centimetres and won himself a pair of Etnies RVL's! Matt was the runner up winning an Etnies Corporate Hoody! Well done boys!

Easter Jam 2010

CFA Easter JamOn Sunday 11th April the CFA held its annual Easter Jam at Southgate playing Fields’ Crawley Skatepark. Usually disrupted due to the weather, the team were eagerly awaiting the first sunny Easter Jam! Sunny it was and although a bit breezy, hundreds of Skateboarders and BMXers still descended upon the Skatepark for the event. CLICK HERE FOR THE GALLERY

Cherry Lane Easter Ramp Session

Cherry Lane On Friday 9th April 2010, the CFA in partnership with Crawley Borough Council and Venture Play held a coaching session on the newly resurfaced Ramp at Cherry Lane Adventure Playground. 3B Ramps had worked hard to get the ramp back to its original smooth state and the gang bundled in at 1pm for a shred!

Corby Trip - Thursday 18th February

On Thursday 18th February, Lucy Adams, Active Crawley Officer for Extreme Sports and CFA Committee members Sean Tilbury, Mark Phelps and Lex Kembery donned their crash helmets and set about taking 30 ‘extreme sports’ enthusiasts to the UK’s finest indoor Skatepark; Adrenaline Alley
